June is here and you should be too! The Program Staff have planned great activities from crafts, speakers, bingo, other games, ice cream sale, R&K Sub Sale, a Juneteenth Celebration and Potluck, a Father’s Day Party, Springettsbury Township (STARS Programs), Blood Pressure Checks, Table Events during Fresh Express Produce, Mobile Produce, the Senior Commodity Food Box, and the PA Farmer’s Market Nutrition Voucher Program.

Month at a Glance - May 2023

It’s the “BEST Time of the YEAR” when GIVE LOCAL YORK occurs in May! We love it because we get to highlight the many cool things we do all year to encourage older adults to check us out!

GIVE LOCAL YORK will occur on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 9:00 PM and run through Friday, May 5, 2023 at 9:00 PM. This is the BIGGEST DAY of online giving in York County. Last year, $4.17 million was raised to almost 300 non-profits!

We hope to do well and would love to count on your support this year. It’s easy…you just click on the link below and follow the instructions and type in your amount to donate! All of the money goes to support the White Rose Senior Center and its members!

We have so many great things to offer such as exercise classes, trips, crafts, speakers, games, food programs, parties, entertainment, a lunch meal, and friends galore to be made!

You definitely don’t want to miss participating in the March Madness Lucky Lunch Lotto each day in March! You simply pay $1,00 every time you get your lunch meal and at the end of the month, Friday, March 31st at 11:30, we will draw the LUCKY LUNCH LOTTO WINNER! (You must be present to win the whole pot!!!)

Happy New Year Everyone!

The WRSC Staff are gearing up for a great year of fun activities and opportunities for our members and the new members we are here to welcome! If you are 60 or over, a York County resident, and able to take care of your bodily functions who is looking for things to make your life filled, make White Rose Senior Center part of your New Year’s Resolutions!

We speak English and Spanish at WRSC and have a very diverse population of members. We are welcoming to all people and believe that is one thing that sets us apart and helps to make the World a better place!

What are you thankful for? White Rose Senior Center is thankful for YOU!

You all bring something special and unique to White Rose Senior Center. Your time, treasures, talents are just a few but your smiles, your heartfelt stories, and your desire to help others is what makes the Center a Big Family!

White Rose Senior Center has an awesome staff who are here every day to welcome you and we encourage all of the members to welcome new friends. Everyone is invited to meet new friends!

We offer a variety of activities, games, crafts, parties, trips, speakers, wellness programs and a whole lot of fun so join us if you are a York County resident, 60 or older and able to take care of your bodily functions.

Month at a Glance - September 2022

Thank you to some grant opportunities, White Rose Senor Center has added an awesome Bingo system! Atlantic Bingo (Craig, Justin and Dennis), Bob Toman, and Danny Wills have added a deluxe bingo console, two 85” TVs and wiring to step our bingo games up several notches!

That being said, we have added weekly bingos onto the calendar and look forward to debuting our October 22nd Cash Bingo to the public. Tickets go on sale September 1st for $15.00 in advance/$20.00 at the door! Click below for a complete flier in English and Spanish.

Starting in September, White Rose Senior Center will be calling back all of our Rabbittransit riders! Our hours for members attending programs will be extended from 9:00-2:00.

Lunch will still be served at 11:30 for eating inside the building or take out. Please make sure you sign in and order lunches two days in advance. We want to make sure you have a meal every time you desire one!

We have two trips planned in September. One is to Pinchot with Northeastern Area Senior Center and other York County Centers on Friday, September 9th. It is called “Concert in the Park”. A band will entertain for the groups and two food trucks will be present. Picnic lunches will be ordered and brought by our staff. We will use Rabbittransit to get there and the cost will be $7.50. The event is from 9:30-11:30.

The other trip is to Shady Maples on Thursday, September 29th (9:00-2:30). Rabbittransit will drive us there and the cost is $13.50. Lunch will cost approximately $15.30. Hurry and sign up for some delicious food!

One of our fundraisers this month will be subs and pretzel sandwiches from R&K Subs. Click below for the Order Form. Sell to your friends and family to help support your Center!
